Life Coaching

Certified. Evidence-based. Person-centered.

You already know where you want to go. We help you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

  • Certified by Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

  • Trained through International Coaching Federation approved programs

Most people don’t lack potential. They lack a clear plan, consistent accountability, and someone in their corner who sees what’s possible even when they can’t.

Life coaching at Cornerstone is person-centered by design. You set the agenda. Your coach doesn’t arrive with a predetermined prescription for your life — they arrive prepared to help you get clear on what you want, identify what’s been getting in the way, and build a realistic, strategic path forward.

This is not therapy. Coaching is forward-focused, strengths-based, and action-oriented. It’s for people who are ready to move, and who want a skilled partner alongside them when they do.

Youth and transitional coaching

One of our core specialties is coaching young people through the most pivotal transitions of their lives. We are Certified Life Coaches and Youth Resilience Coaches, meaning we’re specifically trained to meet young adults where they are — developmentally, emotionally, and practically.

Whether a young person is heading toward employment, college, military service, or entrepreneurship, we help them build the self-awareness, skills, and confidence to take that next step on their own terms.

  • Transitioning to adulthood and independent living

  • Career exploration and professional skills development

  • College readiness and academic goal-setting

  • Identity, confidence, and emotional intelligence

  • Building healthy relationships and social networks

  • Navigating peer pressure, substance use awareness, and harmful influences

What to expect from your coach

Our coaches are trained through ICF-approved, evidence-based programs and bring backgrounds in psychology, sociology, and mental health. But credentials aside, here’s what you can actually expect:

  • 1
You’ll be heard, not lectured: Coaching starts with listening. Your coach’s first job is to understand your situation, your goals, and your obstacles — without judgment and without rushing to solutions.
  • 2
Your goals drive the work: Every session is built around what you’re trying to accomplish. Your coach may challenge your thinking, offer new perspectives, and push you to go deeper — but you set the direction.
  • 3
You’ll leave with action, not just insight: Good coaching doesn’t stop at awareness. Each session moves toward concrete steps — specific, realistic commitments you can take into the week ahead.
  • 4

Accountability is part of the model:  Your coach follows up. Progress is tracked. When things don’t go as planned — and sometimes they won’t — that becomes material for the next session, not a reason to quit.

Who this service is for

Life coaching is available for youth and adults, ages 15–64, in-person in the Cincinnati area or virtually anywhere. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, feeling stuck, or simply ready to move toward something bigger — coaching provides the structure and support to make it happen.

| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is coaching covered by insurance?2026-05-26T11:53:36-04:00

Life coaching is a self-pay service starting at $65/session. It is not billed to insurance. If cost is a barrier, speak with our team — we’re happy to discuss options.

How is coaching different from therapy?2026-05-26T11:53:58-04:00

Therapy is a clinical service that addresses mental health conditions, trauma, and past experiences. Coaching is forward-focused and goal-oriented — it’s about building skills and strategies to move toward what you want. Both have value, and many people benefit from both at the same time.

Can coaching work alongside other services?2026-05-26T11:54:16-04:00

Yes. Coaching is designed to complement other support, including therapy and case management. Your coach can coordinate with your broader care team when helpful.

What happens in the free consultation?2026-05-26T11:54:32-04:00

It’s a 15-minute conversation to understand your situation, answer your questions, and determine whether coaching is a genuine fit. There’s no obligation from either side.

Who provides coaching services?2026-05-26T11:54:49-04:00

Services are provided by certified coaches trained through ICF-approved programs, with backgrounds in psychological and sociological principles. Initial certification is through the Youth Coaching Institute.
